This was just okay, a stronger beginning than the Sea Side Wolf Pack, but not great. Lori is a wolf shifter who is turning 18 the day we meet her. She belongs to one of the packs that treats women as property. Things happen. She ends up alone and on the run. Lori decides to settle in a small town where she meets four other wolves.

So why was this just ok? To begin with, I felt like it didn't make sense for any of them to be in a small town. Being in a larger city would make much more sense for hiding out and avoiding packs. Packs need land. Cities don't have land. Packs won't have large cities as territory. Next, it.doesn't make sense that none of them go Austin or.at least call the Seaside pack up for advice. From Lori's perspective, her mom obviously had a plan and wouldnt have them escape one abusive pack to run right to another. It was stupid of her to ignore her mom's planning even if she didn't know anything about Austin. From the guy's perspective, they obviously know about Austin, know he runs his pack differently, know about the counsel and Austin's role. They should have at least reached out. Master still could have had them end up on their own for the time being under the guise that they couldn't get a hold of Austin or Austin promised to get pack to them but was dealing with some stuff with his late right now. The guys could have decided not to push this as an emergency thinking it was a long shot anyways and found the school as a stop gap or alternative until Austin and Seaside enter the picture in whatever future book that happens in. I also felt like Lori trusted the guys way too quickly considering her background and they all dropped the ball on figuring out her story before anyone in the town saw them. If they werent going to come up with a cohesive story then why did we have to sit through the conversation about why that was important? And what is the guys' cover story beyond we are starting a garage? Why are there a group of really young guys with a minor with enough money to live to a random small town as and start a new business? And the whole we plan to share conversation happened Waaaaaay too soon.

It's an interesting story and a good spin off or world building for Seaside, i just think it is a little rough.

Loved this book. C.C. Masters brings to life a wonderful story. There are so many unanswered questions but there is much to love about this story regardless. Love the story line and the characters.
I really enjoy this author. I loved the Seaside Pack story line and this looks like it’ll be another good book. I wonder if Austin’s pack will feature eventually, guess we’ll see. I hope the rest of the books come out quickly!
I loved the author's Seaside Wolf Pack series and was excited when I came across this one. Very slow burn. I am looking forward to seeing how the Lori's relationships with the pack develop. While you don't need to read the Seaside Wolf Pack series first I would recommend. It will helpthe reader understand about some of the characters mentioned in the book (Austin, Emerys, the lamia).
Another amazing book by C.C. Masters. I loved her first series and this expansion in the same universe is just as enticing. Lori is a different character compared to Anna because she has grown up in the world of wolf shifters. This added a different aspect to the book because Lori already knew how the world worked for a female world shifter but she still craved independence and freedom. I really enjoyed getting to know Lori and her new pack. Can’t wait for book 2
This started off really good but then it seemed to be rushed thru as it got to the end. I enjoyed the story line but I feel that more could’ve been explained or gone into detail. Maybe it will go into more detail in the next book...at least I hope so. All in all, I would recommend you to read this story and decide for yourself because I did enjoy it.
It was a very good story, more to the story is needed, and the new ones need to come out faster.
CC Masters has done it again, she has captured my heart through her characters. I feel like I know them personally. I can't wait for the next book. Thanks so much for your creativity.
