I liked the short, short story collection format because I was able to slip in a couple oftales when I did not have much time. However a really good story of this length is a challenge to write because there is no time for character development and the whole story relies on setting the stage and then delivering a strong, satisfying punch at the end. Some of these stories did that pretty well but a lot of them seemed to have no purpose and just ended on what was supposed to be a shocking, but completely pointless moment. If one is willing to sift through to the chaff to find the wheat, then this is worth reading, especially as there is so little time commitment to the poorly done stories.

Love this collection. Perfect for short reads. My favorite in this series is "The Kitten" by Megan Watson. Very good use of short story form, had a "Poe" feel to it. Can 't wait to see the next edition and hoping there is more from this particular author!
Good variety
I love the illustration on the cover. RIP Steve
This is a solid collection of horror shorts. I liked most of the stories though a few were duds. There's something for everyone here.
Some stories are better than others if course, but all in all the book is a very good and entertaining read, the stories are imaginative and the plots are varied and mostly unpredictable.
Great selection of stories. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. Just the right amount of monsters and suspense. Can't wait to read volume three.
Short readable horror stories - some very good, some not so good but all interesting, not a bad one in the book. If you want an easy read that you can dip into before bed this one's for you. If you want a well-written convoluted horror story with riveting plot and unforgettable characters try Stephen King.
